What you can expect from this site, and what it expects from you. Plain language, and it means what it says.
Camelot Codex is a fan-made guide to Camelot Unchained, built and run by Chigurh.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to City State Entertainment.
Camelot Unchained and everything in it (the names, the descriptions, the numbers, the icons, the art) belongs to City State Entertainment. This site is a guide to their game, written by someone who plays it.
It is a reference compiled by hand: read out of the game, and checked where it can be checked.
It is not the game, it is not official, and it is not authoritative. The game is the authority. Where this site and the game disagree, the game is right and we have a correction to make.
How we read the game, and what we do when a figure cannot be read, is on Using Our Data. We take it seriously and we still get things wrong. Patches change values. A number read correctly in one build is wrong in the next.
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind: not that it is accurate, not that it is complete, not that it is current, and not that it will be available. Decisions you make in the game are yours.
Signing in is optional and uses Discord. You are responsible for your Discord account and for anything done through it here.
The only text you write that this site stores is the names you give your characters and your craft lists. Keep them lawful, and keep them free of harassment, hate, impersonation, and anything you would not want a stranger to read. There is no other place to write anything here, so there is not much scope for trouble, but this is the rule for the scope there is.
We may remove content or an account that breaks this, and we may do it without notice if the content is unlawful.
Automated access and reuse of the data have their own page, Using Our Data, and it is a friendlier answer than this one. Read it before you point a crawler at us.
Three answers, and they are genuinely different:
The game's content is City State Entertainment's. We do not own it, and we cannot give you permission to use it.
What we compiled is ours: the structure, the measurements, the figures we worked out, the writing, the maps and the marks. It is licensed for reuse, and the terms are on Using Our Data.
What you write stays yours. By saving it here you give us permission to store it and show it back to you, which is what an account is for, and nothing else.
This is a hobby site run by one person. It can change, break, or go away. There is no service-level promise here and no guarantee it will be running tomorrow.
If it is going to shut down, we will say so on the site first, with enough notice to take your data with you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from anything you did in the game because of something you read here. If a court decides some of that cannot be excluded, the rest of these terms still stand.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, in the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in California.
If these terms change, continuing to use the site after that means the new version applies to you.
Our Discord server, which is the only way to reach us.
